Tapico’s ambition is to improve people’s everyday financial lives. People rely on many companies to provide them with their financial basics. Having bank accounts, investments, pensions and insurance with different providers results in their financial data being scattered across companies. This makes it difficult for any one provider to form an accurate view of their customers’ financial state of affairs to help them make informed decisions.
We’re tackling this problem head-on, reducing friction between services, driving better experiences and outcomes for businesses and their customers.
Our product is a financial services integration platform. It has a universal API that provides companies on-demand access to their customer’s wealth management and financial data, enabling them to evolve their customer value propositions.
It allows the capture and management of end-user consents to be applied to any third party application a financial institution has contracted with directly, helping propositions extend beyond open banking whilst maintaining consist experience.
What We're About
The Financial Services industry we know today is the result of centuries of evolution. There is a lot of history here and it is complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. New companies pop up every day with ambitions of making a real difference but they inevitably hit a wall. It is a wall of dated, haphazard foundations, inappropriate for the type of technologies required to innovate at scale. We know this because we hit that wall too, so we made a choice. Instead of hacking around it and adding to the pile of complexity, we decided we’d attack the root cause and fix it. We are re-plumbing financial services, fixing those foundations to enable companies keen to make a difference.
It’s a challenge, but we love it.
